Mums with babies and toddlers is run by our Women in Leadership... sometime young mums need support during this tough time and a friend to lean on and advice from older women who've done this before.
As well as morning meetings (after school drop off) for a coffee and conversations and short inspirational messages by our Women in Leadership to empower and equip young mums at Freedom Church Cairns.

At Freedom Church Cairns, we understand that the early years of motherhood are beautiful, challenging, exhausting, and unforgettable—all at once. That’s why our Mums, Babies & Toddlers Group exists: to give mothers a safe, supportive, faith-filled space where they can breathe, connect, and be encouraged while their little ones play, learn, and grow.
Motherhood isn’t meant to be walked alone. Many mums carry the weight of sleepless nights, constant demands, and the never-ending needs of young children. Our group creates a place where mums can find friendship, practical support, and spiritual strength. We keep things simple—no judgment, no pressure—just real connection with other women who understand the season you're in.
Each gathering includes time for conversation, encouragement from Scripture, prayer, and opportunities to share experiences and wisdom. While the mums chat and recharge, the babies and toddlers enjoy a safe and supervised play environment filled with toys, activities, and gentle interaction with other little ones. It’s a joy-filled space that helps children build early social skills while mums get the chance to relax and connect.
We believe strong families build strong communities, and supporting mothers is a crucial part of that. Our leaders are caring, patient, and committed to helping mums feel valued and strengthened. Whether you’re a first-time mum still finding your rhythm or a mother of multiple little ones juggling the busyness of daily life, you’ll find a warm welcome here.
This group also provides opportunities for mums to grow spiritually together—learning how to anchor their homes in faith, pray with confidence, and model godly character to their children from the earliest days. Small moments of encouragement can make an enormous difference in a mum’s week, and that’s exactly what this ministry brings.
